Alibaba.com, a major player in global B2B e-commerce and part of Alibaba International Digital Commerce Group, is gearing up for its second annual CoCreate conference. Slated for September 5-6, 2024, in Las Vegas, NV, the event is set to draw a blend of industry experts, celebrity entrepreneurs, users, manufacturers, and e-commerce professionals to discuss the evolving trends in e-commerce, with a special focus on artificial intelligence advancements.
This year’s speaker lineup is robust, featuring Kuo Zhang, President of Alibaba.com; Daymond John, Shark Tank investor and CEO of FUBU; Everette Taylor, CEO of Kickstarter; Jason Feifer, Editor-in-Chief of Entrepreneur magazine; and Metta World Peace, former NBA champion and current entrepreneur and investor. More speakers are expected to be announced as the event approaches.
In a significant development, Alibaba.com plans to unveil the world’s first AI-powered conversational search engine at the conference. This tool is designed to simplify the complexities of global trade, making it as straightforward as domestic online shopping. The launch underscores Alibaba’s commitment to enhancing digital trade tools, offering attendees firsthand experience with these innovations.
The conference will also host over 30 international suppliers and feature more than 500 top-selling products in its expo hall. This setup provides a unique opportunity for attendees to gain new insights into the industry and foster direct connections with potential partners and suppliers. Rah Mahtani, Head of Marketing for North America at Alibaba.com, emphasized the event’s objective: “We designed this year’s event with one goal in mind—we want to show U.S. SMEs how global trade can be simplified, in terms of innovation, customization and margin boosting.”
Interactive sessions, such as “Pitch the Pros™,” will offer practical business solutions. This segment will see 15 pre-selected entrepreneurs present their business pitches to a panel of experts including Jason Feifer, Chris Guerrera, Carmine Denisco, and Courtney Spritzer, along with other notable figures to be announced. Five winners will walk away with prize packages exceeding $10,000 in value.
Additionally, the conference will feature a Sourcing Master Class led by Devin Dai, Head of Category Management at Alibaba.com. These classes aim to sharpen global sourcing skills across various industries such as fashion, sports, and home living.
An exclusive film screening titled “Show Her The Money” will also take place. This documentary, highlighting the venture capital funding disparities faced by women entrepreneurs, will be followed by a discussion with the film’s producers and featured entrepreneurs.
The event promises a comprehensive learning experience with sessions designed to accelerate business growth, enhance logistics solutions, and integrate AI into business practices, particularly beneficial for small business owners and solopreneurs looking to expand their operations and leverage new technologies.
